Baldo Rice
Baldo rice
is an Italian rice grown and distributed worldwide by
Martin Rice Company of Bernie, Missouri. Baldo rice was originally
developed in Italy and is known as the daughter of Arborio. It is used in many
recipes and most especially to prepare Italy's most famous rice dish, risotto,
and is also highly popular in Mediterranean Countries.
These small, polished kernels develop a creamy consistency when cooked.
It is a more transparent grain and has a compact structure. Chefs around the
world choose this rice for its versatility in recipes. It is used in soups,
salads, desserts and many non-Italian dishes. It is a sticky rice with a
compact structure perfect for rice molds. With its shorter grains, Baldo rice
has a quicker cooking time than other varieties.
Baldo rice is available in various quantities and can be custom
packaged to your specific needs. Other rice varieties grown and distributed by
Martin Rice Company includeBasmati, Jasmine,
Long Grain and Arborio. All are products of natural breeding
and are non-GMO. For wholesale pricing and discounts or additional information,
